Susan Eichner

California-born artist Susan's creative path began early, nurtured by a family that valued art and design. With formal training in fashion design and visual merchandising, she was inspired by a grandmother who was a model, interior designer, artist, and painting conservator. Living in Berlin during her twenties profoundly shaped her artistic vision through its rich culture, architecture, museums, and vibrant creative community. After moving to Taos, New Mexico, Susan studied folk art in the style of Jim Wagner and became a self-taught furniture painter before expanding into fine art. A lifelong learner, she continues to refine her work through classes, workshops, and the guidance of fellow artists and mentors. Susan now lives and works in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with her husband, French chef Alain Jorand.
