Robert Brubaker

Robert Brubaker studied ceramic sculpture at Illinois Wesleyan University, graduating with a BFA in 1974, Undertook graduate studies at Illinois State University 1974-1976. Since 1980 has explored anthropomorphic western characters, adhering to the philosophy of respect with humor. He describes the work as "historically and culturally influenced not historically or culturally correct." Most of the work is one-of-a-kind ceramic originals, occasionally a limited edition bronze sculpture is produced.
