Magnús Sigurðarson (b. 1966) in Reykjavík, is an Icelandic Postwar and Contemporary artist who made his stance in Miami, Florida, but moved to Eldorado, Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2021. He is widely known for his performance art, sculptural installations, and photographic works that often feature a self-deprecating, humorous exploration of vulnerability and cultural displacement. Sigurðarson studied art at Studio Cecil and Graves, Florence, Italy (1988), and the Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts (1992), and received an MFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University, New Jersey (1997).
