Gail Ackerman

Gail Ackerman has been an artist since her early teens. Learning the art of silversmithing in high school she went on to earn her B.A. in Art Education.

After college she enjoyed a successful 10 yr. career as a production stoneware potter. She returned to jewelry design/silversmithing in the 80's and has carried on with this focus for the last 3 decades. Her designs evoke ancient memories from many of the worlds cultures, including Celtic and Native American symbology. These decades of creative evolution are also fueled by her immersion in the 40 years long practice of Iyengar Yoga. The practice teaches balance, integrity and form. These are the qualities I strive for with my jewelry designs.
