Claudia Altshuler

Painting as a creative expression came to me in my thirties. As a child, the piano was my passion, so being able to combine painting, music, life's experiences and emotions became my palette. Many teachers, past and present, inspire my process and I am continually learning techniques that help with the communication of life's moments. Georges Rouault's work and approach continue to be an important influence on both a technical and spiritual level. My greatest reward is when someone connects to one of my pieces whether it be through a feeling of joy, sadness or simply thoughtful contemplation.
