A.me & Mitch Alamag

Rokoko was established in 1983 as a business to house the artistic collaboration and creations of A.me and Mitch Alamag. The artwork is created on wood, hand painted with acrylic, embellished with hand made ceramic shapes and glass stones and finished with acrylic. Intricate patterns, textured surfaces and three dimensional pieces add depth and intrigue to the imagery. The artwork often is integrated with original written words of thoughtful observations and positive messages. The push and pull between them has provided new avenues to their works. A.me’s artistic need is to give a voice to her inner imaginary world. Mitch’s art evolves from the need to express his inner nature through structure and pattern. They operated their own gallery in Venice Beach CA. from 1990-1994 and in Mesilla, NM. from 2010-2020. They sell to various art galleries, exhibit at art and music festivals nationwide and have placed several pieces in public buildings through the New Mexico Public Art Program.
