Shannon McQuilkin

Shannon's ceramics are both thrown on the wheel and hand built, with an emphasis on the organic nature of the clay being the guide. While some of her functional pieces incorporate glaze, her work often showcases the fired clay by itself, with slips, engobes, underglaze pencils, sgraffito and pressed rocks as adornment. Her work is often inspired by the raw, untamed earth body itself, wild & free. Just like her.
