Marna Zanoff

My work features color and movement, echoing the beauty and rhythms of nature and life. Many thin layers of acrylic glazing produce complex shades with much luminosity, adding new textures and shapes. Hues sitting on top of each other, rather than mixed or applied thicker create new colors, textures and a lot of depth. When finished, colors and images appear through all the earlier layers. My passion for color and shape comes from my early career as an underwater photographer.
