Ashton Thornhill

I have lived much of my life in West Texas and now Northern New Mexico. In 1979 I was hired to head the photo program at Texas Tech University. In 2006, I retired as Professor Emeritus. Since that time, I have been busy making photographs. My photographs are in the permanent collections of the Grace Museum, the Strathmore Mansion, the Harry Ransom Center at UT Austin, and the Lea County Museum. The Southwest Collection at Texas Tech University, in Lubbock, TX. will house my archives.
