The Eldorado Arts & Crafts Association has a long-standing tradition of encouraging artists to support the local community through their creative work. As part of this custom, artists participating in the Studio Tour and other EACA sales events are invited to donate 5% of their sales, up to a maximum of $75, to a shared community fund.
Following the most recent Studio Tour and Spring/Winter Art Sale, artist donations totaled $4,371. Guided by EACA’s mission to reinvest directly in the Eldorado community, the Board carefully reviewed and approved the following distribution of funds:
25% to the Vista Grande Public Library, supporting access to learning, culture, and community resources
25% to the Eldorado Volunteer Fire Department, helping sustain vital emergency services
25% to the El Dorado Community School Parent-Teacher Organization, benefiting local students and educators
15% to the Eldorado Senior Center, supporting programs for older adults
10% to Eldorado Search and Rescue, assisting critical rescue and safety operations
These contributions are a direct reflection of the generosity of EACA artists and the belief that art can be a powerful force for good beyond gallery walls. Every purchase made during EACA events helps strengthen essential community services, making the Studio Tour not only a celebration of creativity, but also an investment in the well-being of Eldorado and its residents.
