Abad Sandoval is a native of northern New Mexico whose New Mexico roots go back many generations. His watercolors reflect his intimate knowledge and connection to the land and cultures of northern New Mexico. The subjects of his art range from landscapes that capture the essence of New Mexico seasons to historic adobe churches and other structures. His work is inspired by his love of New Mexico's land, skies, and cultural diversity. He is a self-taught artist and is from a family of other artists and artisans.
