ABOUT EACA The Eldorado Arts and Crafts Association was formed 19 years ago by a small group of local artists who banded together to launch the first studio tour. The non-profit association has grown to over 200 members in recent years and provides monthly educational meetings, shop-talks, a plein air landscape group and a figure drawing group. The EACA sponsors the May Studio Tour and the November Fall Show each year to provide a venue for artists living in the Eldorado community. In order for visitors to determine which studio to visit we encourage them to stop at the EACA Preview Gallery at El Dorado Community School located at the corner of Avenida Vista Grande and Avenida Torreon. Signs and banners show the way to the school. There visitors can view work by each artist, pick up a comprehensive brochure including a map to all 83 studios and begin their visit to the studios of their choice. Through generous donations of the artists, the tour is able to help support local organizations. This year’s recipients are Eldorado Fire and Rescue, Vista Grande Public Library, El Dorado Community School, and the Ken and Patty Adam Senior Center. Businesses and individuals sponsor the Tour that in turn provides advertising dollars to promote the tour. These sponsors have been the backbone of the Eldorado Studio Tour that allows the advertising and publicity committee to place print and radio ads from Taos to Albuquerque. We thank our sponsors for their generosity and urge our visitors to support these business sponsors who are listed in the tour brochure. |
